Christmas presents from Brimar Valve Works

Ladies from the Brimar Valve works pose with the gifts

In January 2017, RSBC merged with the Royal London Society for Blind People (RLSB). Although we are now called RSBC, there may be some references to RLSB in the following article.
In 1956, the ladies working as Operatives at the Brimar Valve Works in Dunton Green delighted the young children of Dorton House by donating a wonderful selection of toys.

The haul of presents for Christmas included a miniature Austin Car, a doll’s cradle and teddy bear. The children expressed their delight with a letter of thanks written in Braille.
