Member of the rotary club meets dorton students

In January 2017, RSBC merged with the Royal London Society for Blind People (RLSB). Although we are now called RSBC, there may be some references to RLSB in the following article.
Pictured here is Mr Roy Dickens, president of the Sevenoaks Rotary Club in 1977, serving welcome snacks to excited children of Dorton House School.

They had gathered on the grounds of the mansion house for the annual fireworks display. The event was organised by the club, and Rotarians served soup and hotdogs.

According to an old copy of RLSB Review, the only sound to challenge the bangs and crackles of the fireworks was the constant cheering from the children, and the evening was rounded off with songs.
