First anniversary of the London 2012 Paralympics

In January 2017, RSBC merged with the Royal London Society for Blind People (RLSB). Although we are now called RSBC, there may be some references to RLSB in the following article.
It was an exciting time for RLSB as we watched our ambassador Ben Quilter win a bronze medal for judo, and took young people to the Olympic park to enjoy some sporting action.

So today through our archive exhibition we celebrate two of our former students who became Paralympians. This first is Darren Leach – a gold medal winning Paralympic swimmer who is also an RLSB ambassador.

The second is Sasha McFarlane, who attended Dorton House School until she was 11, who represented Team GB in Goalball at the 1988 Games in Seoul.
