Going for a ride

In January 2017, RSBC merged with the Royal London Society for Blind People (RLSB). Although we are now called RSBC, there may be some references to RLSB in the following article.

In honour of the Webb family, and their Dorton Nursery tots Harvey and Megan, who are set to have an Alan Titchmarsh garden make-over next week, our archive items are dedicated to the theme of outdoor play.

Here’s a snap from our primary school for blind and partially sighted children, Drayton Manor, which shows a little girl in a sun hat sitting outside in a wooden cart (ready to be wheeled around at top speed by her friends we suspect).

Now we’re calling on you to tell us your favourite thing about playing outside when you were little. Tweet us @RLSBcharity or post on our Facebook page: facebook.com/rlsbp
