Sport for blind and partially sighted young people

In January 2017, RSBC merged with the Royal London Society for Blind People (RLSB). Although we are now called RSBC, there may be some references to RLSB in the following article.

This time last year, the country was revelling in sporting glory with the 2012 Games.

Sport has always been an important part of life at RLSB, and here is an article from an old copy of the RLSB Review which shows students taking part in lots of different sport from high jump to diving.

The article reads: “Invariably people seemed surprised when they are told of the grace and agility shown at games by blind children.”

“These photographs of our boys and girls demonstrate how thoroughly they enter into the spirit of the game or sport in which they participate.”
